iCAN Role Models 2025: Celebrating “80 Role Models for 8 Years of iCAN”
We are proud to officially launch the latest edition of our Role Models book - “80 Role Models for 8 Years of iCAN.”
This powerful publication celebrates 80 exceptional individuals from across the insurance industry who are not only excelling in their careers but are actively championing diversity, equity and inclusion in all its forms.
For the first time, this edition also includes 20 role models from the United States, following iCAN’s recent expansion into the U.S. market, alongside 60 inspiring professionals from the UK.
Make it stand out
These role models are leaders, innovators, mentors, allies and advocates. Through their stories, they’ve generously shared their experiences, reflections and advice - reminding us that representation isn’t just important, it’s essential. We hope their journeys inspire the next generation of talent and help others feel seen, supported and empowered to succeed.
Speaking about the release of the new publication, iCAN Co-Founder & Co-Chair Ajay Mistry said:

A Growing Legacy of Representation
Our Role Models book series began in 2019, when we partnered with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) to publish Multicultural and International Role Models. That first edition profiled 35 individuals from across the UK insurance sector, highlighting how their diverse heritages shaped their careers and contributed to the industry.
In 2023, to mark our sixth anniversary, we released 60 Role Models for 6 Years of iCAN - a bigger, bolder book spotlighting professionals at all levels of the industry who were actively driving inclusion, challenging systemic barriers and making space for others to grow.
And now, in 2025, our latest edition expands once again - reflecting the evolving, global nature of our network and the insurance sector itself.
Why This Matters
At iCAN, we know that diverse talent exists - and thrives - in every part of the insurance market. But too often, individuals from multicultural backgrounds face challenges that limit their visibility and progression.
By shining a spotlight on those who are leading by example, we aim to challenge stereotypes, inspire future leaders and show the industry what’s possible when talent is given the space and support it deserves.
These role models remind us that there’s no one way to succeed in insurance - and that the industry is at its best when it embraces the full range of perspectives and lived experiences.
