About Role Models
We teamed up with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) to create a book, “Multicultural and International Role Models” that would highlight some of the individuals who have played a key part in advancing the ethnic minority/international discussion within insurance.
The book explores the backgrounds of 35 prominent international and multicultural role models from the UK insurance industry who discuss their diverse heritages, providing personal anecdotes on why their own cultural diversity was key in the advancement of their career goals. We want to show you that no matter your walk of life, the insurance industry has a place for you – and this is your time to rise.
Real life role models
As part of our 2nd birthday, we partnered with the Chartered Insurance Institute to launch the publication, “Multicultural and International Role Models” at Zurich with key speakers from the CII, Aviva, Direct Line and Brokerbility to discuss the importance of role models in the industry. Whether they have run BAME and multicultural networks themselves, spoken publicly, organised initiatives, written in the press or even keenly attended events, our role models have all been an important part in progressing the ethnic minority and international agenda.
In showcasing these industry trailblazers, we want to show that if you thought “you can’t be it if you can’t see it”, then here you go – the insurance industry is full of positive role models for you to see.
