iCAN are delighted to welcome Apollo as a Bronze Sponsor for 2024

iCAN is proud to announce that Apollo are renewing their sponsorship in 2024 at our Bronze level.

This sponsorship is a testament to Apollo’s commitment to supporting ethnic minorities and international talents and contributing to the UK insurance industry becoming more ethnically diverse.

iCAN and Apollo’s partnership will aim at promoting Apollo’s culture, roles, and DEI initiatives in 2024 and we are excited to be working with Vinay Mistry along with the Apollo team!

More about Apollo

Since our founding in 1990, we have believed that adhering to our values is integral to our success. This has allowed us to build an innovative and collaborative culture that can support great businesses and generate attractive returns for our clients.

Our clients rely on our investment acumen to help secure their future. We must never lose our focus and determination to be the best investors and most trusted partners on their behalf.

As a leading alternative asset manager, Apollo recognizes our responsibility to be a platform of opportunity for others. We are committed to championing opportunity and cultivating an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive. We believe this diversity of people, backgrounds and perspectives is critical to our continued success.

The sponsorship

Apollo’s sponsorship will support a wide range of iCAN’s ongoing and newly launched initiatives for 2024. The initiatives include our INspire self-serving mentoring platform and iCANConnect, a safe space for D&I leaders across the insurance industry, as well as our iCAN Apply Jobs Board which aims to give more access for our members to opportunities within the insurance industry.

In addition to these three main initiatives, the sponsorship will support the continuation of the Coffee with the CEO series and a range of virtual and in-person events for the 5,000+ members based in the UK and internationally.

Vinay Mistry, Group CRO, Apollo said:

“Apollo truly believes in diversity, including multiculturalism, which is a key element to execute our vision of creating value for our partners through innovation, creativity and service excellence.

The exciting and boundary breaking developments Apollo is becoming known for are only possible through the delivery of an empowered, inclusive and diverse team. This helps to explain why we continue to work with iCAN.  We have nominated ambassadors within the business including at the Executive level to promote and support iCAN activities.

Successful examples of our collaboration were increased job postings on iCAN Apply, running a Black History Month event with Echaunti as well as hosting the “Coffee with the CEO” series. iCAN is also an invaluable resource for sharing best practices which we have benefitted from when reviewing workplace policies and reporting requirements.

This partnership is not about ethics; it's about ensuring a sustainable approach to creating an inclusive, insightful, and thriving business.”
